Blue Angels improves position on table

                                          Mighty Blue Angles

Reported by Horatio Bobby Willie

Mighty Blue Angels have strengthened their grip at the top of the Liberia Football Association first division table.

Blue Angels did so after an impressive 2-1 victory over Barrack Young Controllers at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Friday.

Justin Zeon put the Unification Town based club ahead in the 51st minute but Alfred Betoe leveled the score in the 58th minute.

Alfred Kortu secured the win for Blue Angels in the 84th minute with a brilliant solo effort.

The win has given the club 27 points and has put them in contention for the championship.

The second game at the ATS saw Mighty Barrolle and Roots FC playing to a zero-zero draw. A win would have placed Barrolle in a pole position for the premiership title.

Roots FC needed a win to escape the relegation zone.

Kortie IE got three points because Blanco FC failed to turn out for their female league match.

The game was schedule to be played at the Bong Mines Field in Logan Town.
