Blessing Wants Priority For Swimming

By Julu M. Johnson,Jr.

A Liberian swimming athlete is calling for support to be given to the sport.

Blessing Kortu Ross believes that if the sport is given the attention needed, swimming would move forward.

According to Blessing, there are several plans aimed at improving swimming, but with the lack of support from government, it seems difficult to implement them.

The swimmer disclosed that the country has already received several invitations to be represented at world events this year, but the normal no money syndrome, there is still doubt surrounding Liberia s participation.

Hence, Blessing is appealing for helping hand to be given to the Liberia National Swimming Federation (LNSF), led by S. Ahmad Tukpah and Sylvester Rennie, as it strives to improve the game in the country.

He, meanwhile called on his fellow swimmers not be deterred by the slow pace in the development of the sports.
