Black Stars Prepare For Premiership

Although there is still a long way before the start of the new
Liberian football league season, the Black Stars have begun making
early preparations.
Under the leadership of the Liberia Football Association (LFA) Vice
President for Administration Pennoh W. Bestman, the club gained
promotion this year to the premier league from the first division.
The Black Stars president stated that his side has acquired some of
the best young talents for the upcoming football campaign.
Mr. Bestman named James Zoetiah of first division side Karn United and
John Collins of the Young Survivors, also based in division one.
He disclosed that three other players, one from Roots FC of the
premier league and two from Harbel based Mighty Blue Angels, who
narrowly failed to reach the premier league.
The LFA Vice President mentioned that his team is undergoing serious
training exercises in order to be ripe for the task ahead.
The preparation of the club can also be attributed to the expected
participation of the Black Stars in next year’s WAFU championship.
The Black Stars boss declared that when the time comes, his team would
surely represent the country in the West African club competition.
The Black Stars were established during pre-war Liberia and brought to
light former Liberian international midfielder Kelvin Sebwe, now based
in Greece, as a numerous players that make impact in Liberian
football.
