Black Star and Mighty Blue Angels put up an impressive
display in the Presidents Cup and the game saw the sides shared five
goals.
The game described by fans as the best so far in the competition that
has lasted for two days was filled with hard tackles, good ball
distribution and exciting moments.
Black Star took the lead in the 11th minute after Sengbe Kennedy
placed a low square pass for Bill Sheriff in the 18-yard box.
Sheriff wasted no time but took a low shot that beat the Blue Angels
goalkeeper.
Mighty Blue Angels restored parity in the 37th minute through Albert
Tubah from a well-coordinated effort.
In the 40th minute, guest player Indonesian based Perry Kollie set up
Sengbe Kennedy for Black Star second goal.
Black Star increased the tally after a Blue Angels defender cleared an
opponent set piece into his own net.
Blue Angels reduced the tally late in the match and Black Star
finished an impressive 3-2 winner.
LRRC Oilers put up a brave fight to beat a highly inspired Mark Pro
2-1.
Alex Whitemore gave Oilers an early lead in the 3rd minute of the
match from a wonderful strike.
Indonesia based and former Oilers striker James Koko Lomell scored the
second goal in the 45th minute.
Mark Pro scored their consolation goal in the 67th minute and started
to mount pressure for the equalizer but Oilers held on.
Oilers finished the game 10 against 11.
In female soccer, Blanco FC buried Kortie IE 8-0 in a one sided
showdown
