Black Star FC has gotten up to a wining start in the LISCR Trust
Peace and Charity football tournament.
Black Star put their recent misfortune in continental club football
aside and whipped a sorrowful LPRC Oilers 2-0.
The football association triple champions scored both goals in the
first half and played without most of the payers who feature in the
African Champions league.
Sengbeh Kennedy and James Soto Roberts were the scorers for Black
Star at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium on Thursday.
The competition got underway Wednesday with two matches taking
place.
Newly promoted Jasmine Rangers whipped Watanga FC 3-2 with Leon
Power scoring the two goals for Watanga.
LISCRF FC finished impressive 3-1 winners over struggling Invincible
Eleven.
Patrick Wleh who was eventually sent off and Vitalis Sieh got the
goals for LISCR FC. The competition will continue Friday with more
games taking place.
