Big Contracts For Barrolle Players!

Three players of Mighty Barrolle are expected to leave the country to seek professional contracts in the Diaspora through the inspiration of former Liberian International striker, Mr. Musa Shannon.

According to the information, Mighty Barrolle’s trio Sam Andrews, Little Lewis and Prince Somah are expected to be recommended by Mr. Shannon, who is also contesting the Liberia Football Association (LFA) elections as Vice President for Administration.

Though it is not yet clear which country the players will be going, but credible information gathered by this paper has indicated that the players are set for lucrative deals out of Liberia. 

The players’ deals are already on course, but the agents want the players to showcase their talents in a big match before Mr. Shannon, who will do the final recommendation for their contracts.  

The organizers have scheduled the big match for Friday, March 5, 2010 at 4:PM at Tusa field in Gardnersville where  LFA All Stars, the team that engaged Liberian Foreign based in the Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) Stars Vacation Tournament to take on a formidable side, New Georgia All Star in an epic clash.

In recent times, keen followers of Liberian football have not had the opportunity to watch classical local football, but such epic encounter will see them do so.

Some top personalities in Liberian football including the Chief organizer and LFA VPA contestant, Mr. Musa Shannon, LFA President Cllr. Sombo Izetta Wesley, Mighty Barrolle President, Mr. Garmondeh Karnga, Mr. Joseph Farkollie, LFA VPO hopeful, Mr. G. Wallace Weiah, LFA women football representative  and several Liberian football stakeholders are expected to grace the occasion.

Some players expected to play for the LFA All Star include the three players, Andrews, Lewis and Somah, Captain Archie Harvey, alias Shaun Wright Philips, Wilfred Greenfield, Samuel Cooper and William Tokpah all of Mighty Barrolle.

Others include Freeman Mulbah of Jasmine Rangers, James Soto Roberts of Black Star, Bill Paytoe and Ivan Dickson  of LPRC Oilers ,George Kerkulah of Adorence FC, Joseph Kelle Hina of Invincible Eleven (IE), Queenjay Continalta and Andrew Foday Swaray of LFA knockout champions, Barrack Young Controller (BYC), Kelvin Kollie of Aeries among other.

As for new Georgia All Star, Captain Alfred Hargreaves, BYC no nonsense defender, Jusufu Hargreaves, LPRC Oilers trainees Joseph Broh and James Walatee, goalie Email Chattah and others will be on hand to give the LFA All Star mountains to climb.

One of the brains behind this big match is SWAL Assistant Secretary General elect and Liberia most decorated sports journalist, Mr. Roland M. Mulbah, who is set for FIFA top level journalist course in Dakar, Senegal later this week.
