Former Sports Writers Association of Liberia (SWAL) Assistant Secretary General, Wleh Bedell has sharply reacted to assertion made by ex-SWAL president Momolu V. O. Sirleaf questioning LFA presidential aspirant Musa Bility's plan to commercialize Liberian Football where he failed to commercialize Watanga FC. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Bedell said "It is quite unfortunate that Mr.Sirleaf would make such an assertion among others and said it is time to avoid being carried away by sentiments and be very intrepid in discussing cardinal issues in this election period.

"To say that Mr. Bility's campaign plan to commercialize Liberian football is out of reality is highly ludicrous as such an assertion from a respected source needs to be expunged., Mr. Bedell who is also the Chief Excutive officer of Second Division outfit Gardnersville FC and chairman of the Soccer Promotion Agency noted.
According to him, Bility's plan on the commercialization of the game in this part of the world has a road map and is the best tool for the resurrection of the country's game which has since gone in oblivion due to the poor administrative management of current LFA boss Sombo Izetta Wesley.

"There are a plethora of positive things in the fold for Liberian football for the next four years and beyond as there would be a full scale organization, where the various leagues will be sponsored, clubs would be empowered, sub-associations and committees will be greatly improved, the LFA and the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MYS) will continuously have a palatable working relationship ect. upon the ascendency of Mr. Bility to the highest football seat in the country", the analyst and consultant indulged.

According to him, the commercialization of the game in this country by Mr. Bility will serve as a bastion in developing the game as there will be good tidings in the fold. This he saidd is a meticulous program that would save the country's football. He also revealed that Mr. Bility's conglomerate of the Rennaissance Communication which comprises a radio and television station as well as a newspaper will be amongst other media outlets promoting the leagues, and that clubs would benefit a lot as the sponsorship deal would bring to the fore equipments, cash and many others.

"The road map on the commercialization of football in the country is not just a myth but a reality and would mean well for the country's football future", he intimated. On the issue of Mr. Bility's achievement at Watanga, Mr. Bedell, firstly began by saying "it can recollected that Mr. Bility offered his radio station to air the LFA league games during the weekends free of charge, but, the process was shortlived as the FA reneged on this".

He then said he gives Mr. Bility the thumb in transforming Watanga FC as there was no time complains were heard from any quarter from probably players that they were unpaid or un attended to. "We all know the name Watanga was uncommon during the civil crisis, but the LFA presidential hopeful managed through his managerial prowess to transform these young men from being virtually trigger happy to descent footballers, thus making them fit to live in the society, and has provided scholarships for a host of these players in various schools" the consultant and analyst indulged.

Mr. Bedell also noted that football is indeed dead and that incumbent LFA boss, Sombo Izetta Wesley lacks the vision to take the game to the next level, and it is high time she gave way to one with a new dynamism, vigor and enthisiasm in lifting the game from its downward trend to a more flourishing and palatable state.

The long time football follower said he is glad that Mr. Sirleaf alluded to the fact that football is dead in the country, but however differ with him that the game died during the Edwin Snowe reign when the Lone Star failed to cruise to what would have being its first ever world cup finals after losing 2-1 at home to a deplete Ghana Black Star squad at the SKD. "Football died under the leadership of madam Wesley, and not any other leader of the FA and, for the fact that Mr. Sirleaf has concorded that the game is dead in the country, he is to some extent concording with us which makes our quest to emancipate the country's football from the uneventful hands of madam Wesley very salient and expedient. he also said the current LFA boss lacks the administrative expertise to develop the game. According to him, what is so special that she will do in four year that she did not do in six years?

The outspoken stakeholder said Mr. Bility with a team of renowed administrators can transform the LFA, and said madam Wesley has certainly damaged football in the country and needs to give way. He also stated that if one was to do a comparative analysis with Watanga which Mr. Bility led and the clubs madam Wesley either once led or worked for, one would notice that the clubs she has worked with are in ruins and need serious improvement. "The decision of Young Survivors, a strong hold of madam Wesleyy, a team she once led, to declare support for Mr. Bility is quite picturesque that she has failed miserably and that Mr. Bility has made gains", he narrated.

"Juxtaposing the two, madam Wesley and Mr. Bility, it is glaring that Mr. Bility has plus while madam Wesley has a goose egg for the poor state of the game", he revealed. "People are tired of the FA been divided into camps. madam Wesley lacks the charisma, urge and desire to remain at the helm of the football house", he stated. He then called on voters in the ensuing elections to vote for that change that is emminent and vote Musa Hassan Bility for the position of president of the LFA on March 20
