Basketball Championships Postponed

Reports reaching Star Radio say the African Basketball Champions for Men has been pushed back to a week.

The competition will now begin on October 6 in the Ivory Coast capital, Abidjan.

Liberia is to field two teams in the competition, Ivincible Eleven and NPA Deadly Pythons.

Liberia Basketball Federation Secretary General Fred Pratt confirmed the postponement when Star Radio made contact with him.

He said the teams have been informed about the postponement.
IE was scheduled to depart the country on Sunday.It is not known whether they will stick to their schedule.
