Mighty Barrolle has emerged as
champions of the one day charity match organized by the Liberia
National Red Cross in observance of its 150th anniversary
celebration.
The Garmondeh Karnga’s boys secured the
feat after a 5-4 win over traditional rival Invincible Eleven (IE)
in post match penalty after regular time ended 1-1.
David Tweh, alias K. North opened the
score line in the second half from a perfect finish, but IE’s
captain Joseph Kelleh Hina canceled the red and white outfit’s lead
just seconds to the end of the match from a Terry Gambleh blunder.
Barrolle’s temporary captain Peter
Diggs scored the crucial penalty after IE missed just one.

Eugene Pakai celebrates with Barrolle
After the match, the representative of
the Liberia National Red cross urged Mighty Barrolle to secure the
beautiful trophy in a place where the team will always remember the
Red Cross family.
Meanwhile, the Newark New Jersey
Chapter of Mighty Barrolle in the United States of America has again
donated a beautiful set of red and black jersey to Mighty Barrolle as a way
of boosting the team’s spirit for the ongoing Liberia Football
Association (LFA) premiership chase.

Eugene Pakai Presents jersey to
Barrolle President Karnga
Making the presentation at the
Antoinette Tubman Stadium shortly after Barrolle won the Red Cross
charity trophy, Eugene Pakai, the Social Director of the chapter
said it was their own way of identifying with the team that brings
happiness to them.
Mighty Barrolle is our happiness so we
feel great making more donations.
“We are planning more for Mighty
Barrolle and this is just the beginning,” Mr. Pakai noted.
As for his part, the hard working
president of Mighty Barrolle Mr. Garmondeh Karnga hailed the USA
based chapter and promised the jersey will be used to win more
silver wears for Barrolle.
“You have always sent jerseys with
divine blessings and I can assure you that Barrolle will use this
jersey to win more laurels,” “GK” as he is widely known noted in a
rather happier frame of mind.
He also noted that Barrolle will wear
the jersey in the crucial LFA premiership match on Sunday, May 10,
2009 against LFA premiership sentimental favorite LISCR FC.
