Garmondeh Karnga’s Mighty Barrolle will have a
rigid contest in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County this Sunday,
September 20, 2009 against traditional bitter rival, Invincible Eleven
(IE) as the chase for the Liberia Football Association (LFA)
premiership ranges on with much excitements.
The Rollers currently occupied 3rd
spot on the 18 teams LFA premier log with 57 points, while LPRC Oilers
and Barrack Young Controller (BYC) occupied first and second spots
with 61 and 60 points respectively, but a win against IE will see the
red and white outfit move very close to the top of the table.
Both Oilers and BYC have played 30 matches each,
while Barrolle played 29 matches.
Barrolle left for the City of Buchanan on Friday
afternoon with 18 players probably to cause the damage to her bitter
rival in such epic rivalry derby.
IE is said to be in high gear for the clash with
reports that the yellow boys trained for weeks behind closed door to
engage Barrolle.
Some players on hand for Barrolle for the contest
include magic hands Samuel Cooper and Tom Namely, defenders Hallie
Lahai, Sam Peters, Arthur Jerry, Samuel Tisdell and William Tokpah.
Others are master dribbler Archie Harvey, alias
Shaun Wright Philips, who splendid performance against Watanga FC
earned vital three points for the Rollers after the lad rattled the
net, strikers Sam Andrew Weika Wisseh, defensive man Wilfred
Greenfield and distributor Little Lewis are also in the lineup for the
match.
The players are said to be in high spirit for the
match that could see them play in another Confederation of African
Football (CAF) championship.
Meanwhile, LPRC Oilers takes on Watanga FC
Saturday, September 19, 2009 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in
Monrovia, while BYC goes all out again Gedi and Sons on Sunday at the
