-But BYC Is On Course

By Roland M. Mulbah

Mighty Barrolle has move second on the Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2009 premiership table.

The red and white outfit achieved the feat Tuesday, April 28, 2009 after a 2-0 victory over Musa Bility’s Watanga FC at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia.

Weaka Wisseh opened the scored line in the first half before temporary captain Little Lewis scored the final goal to see the Garmondeh Karnga boys’ collect the maximum three points to move second on the 18 teams’ LFA premiership table with 18 points.

In other matches played, Barrack Young Controller (BYC) continued her impressive form with a 2-0 win over lackluster defending champions Black Star at the Nancy Doe pitch in Kakata, Margibi County.

The youthful LFA top flighty club’s two front runners in the form of Andrew Swaray, alias Foday and Matthew Dede were the scorers for the club that has put up immense surprise to the start of the campaign.

At the Unification Town (UNT) pitch also in Margibi County, UMC Roots pinned Adorence FC 1-0 to climb the ladder a little.

The league continues Wednesday, April 29, 2009 with more exciting matches.

At the UNT pitch, Sensational LPRC Oilers will hope to go back on top of the table when the gold and black outfit host rejuvenated Monrovia Blub Breweries.

In Kakata, Margibi County, Joe Nagbe’s FC AK will welcome point donor Devereux FC.
