The Liberia Football Association (LFA) premiership
produced more fire works over the weekend across the country as
teams aim for silver wears at the end of the season.
LIBERIANSOCCER.COM Reporter Roland M. Mulbah gives the update
of the overcrowded LFA premiership. Mighty Barrolle continues her
unbeaten run in the campaign with a convincing 3-0 thrashing of
United Soccer Ambassador Football Club (USA FC) in Gbarnga City,
Bong County on her new home ground.
Fantastic Captain Nuzohn Kulala opened the score line with a
brilliant finish from a perfect cross from new signing Sam Andrews
as the first half ended in the red and white outfit’s favor.
Back from recess, it was versatile Weaka Wesseh who completed a
brace to see the Garmondeh Karnga’s boys secured the maximum three
points to move fourth on the LFA premier log.
But the worse news for Barrolle was when the team was involved in a
car accident while en-route to Monrovia.

According to reporters from Gbarnga, Barrolle’s bus collapsed with a
motor bike ‘pen pen’ driver thus causing his instant death, while
the team’s head coach Eric Thompson, alias Christian Cole was
unconscious and later taken to the Phebe Hospital.
The reporters also say the coach is responding to treatment and he
is doing fine, while there were no other injuries during the
accident.
In other matches played, LISCR FC maintained top spot of the LFA
premiership table with a 2-0 defeat to Watanga FC in Kakata, Margibi
County.
Sublime striker Patrick Wleh, alias Ronaldinho was on target twice
in a one way traffic match.
Sensational LPRC Oilers also continued her unbeaten run with a 1-0
defeat to youthful Gedi and Sons at the Unification town sports
pitch in lower Margibi County.
Speedy Johnny Gbelee got the lone goal for Gabriel Johns’ guided
side as the team now sits second on the table with seven points, but
LISCR in pole position due to goal difference.
Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) secured a 2-1 victory over Margibi
County based Mighty Blue Angels at the Antoine Tubman Stadium (ATS)
to remain 3rd on the table. Andrew Swary, alias Foday and Matthew
Dede did the damage to the Angels, while Monrovia Club Breweries
grab her first win with a 3-0 thrashing of Jubilee FC.
The league continues Tuesday, April 7, 2009 with youthful Jasmie
