Mighty Barrolle has chocked Liberia Football Association (LFA) premier league leader, LPRC Oilers for the title chase.

The Rollers have cut down the oil boys’ 15 point lead to just three points and a game in hand against Margibi County based LFA  premier club, Mighty Blue Angel.

The Kanyan pepper boys moved second on the premiership table with an incredible 1-0 edging of Watanga FC in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County.

Master dribbler and skill workshop, Archie Harvey, alias Shaun Wright Philips rattled the net in the 12 minute of the match to see his side achieved the feat.

The goal came from a superb connection from midfield lad, Wilfred Greenfield who found midfield colleague Little Lewis to find the dangerous kid on the block, Harvey as the master card performer placed the ball in the left corner of the rushing Watanga FC goaltender, Tito Wesseh.

Both sides mounted serious pressure for supremacy, but it was Mighty Barrolle that looked extra in an attempt to mount immense force on Oilers for the title chase.

Watanga Leon Power, alias Debbah and teammates disturbed Barrolle’s defense for the equalizer, but Arthur Jerry, Samuel Tisdell, Sam Peters, considered man of the match and experience Hallie Lahai stood the test of time to protect the red and white outfit.

Barrolle’s temporary Captain, Nuzohn Kulala could have added the second for his side, but a sluggish display caused the Watanga goalie to pick up a lose ball after the captain drabbled the entire defense, but failed to place the ball at the back of the net.

Top scorer Weaka Wisseh came close to increasing the score line, but thanked to goalie Tito who saved the day as the fist half ended in the Rollers’ favor.

The second half saw both sides playing a very careful came, with Barrolle playing a very careful game to collect the maximum three points, while Watanga playing a counter attack probably to avoid conceding more goals as the match ended 1-0 in the Rollers’ favor.

Mighty Barrolle now has five matches remaining against traditional rivals Invincible Eleven (IE), FC AK and Jubilee FC all in Buchanan City, Grand Bassa County, Mighty Blue Angel in Kakata and USA FC at the ATS.

Oilers last matches include Watanga FC, M.C Breweries, Black Star and Gedi and Sons.
