Barrolle Sends IE Crawling

By Julu M. Johnson, Jr.

Mighty Barrolle has now taken a wider lead in the premier division in the ongoing 2004 National Football League.

A positive result for Mighty Barrolle was predicted by the Assistant Business Manager of The News Newspaper Oliver Tolo last week, but fans and supporters would not listen.

IE fans later got to believe when the Sunshine Yellow boys were bashed by their bitter rivals Barrolle 1-0 on Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).

Joseph Sayon scored in the first half. IE almost equalized but Eric Lee Wright missed a penalty in the same half.

Barrolle is now on the verge of lifting the premier league title after previous wins over LPRC Oilers and Monrovia Club Breweries.

The next encounters for Barrolle are against LISCR FC, Alliance and Shoes FC.
If Barrolle avoids defeats, they will no doubt clinch the league title.

The team will be rewarding Lewis Browne for the thousands he has been spending to bring success to the most successful club in Liberian soccer.
