Barrack Young Controllers have for the first time this season gone on top of the LFA Premiership table.

The Dark Horses whipped 10 men Gedi & Sons 1-0 on Sunday at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium.

Myers Garlo struck perfectly from 18 yards deep into the added three minutes to send BYC one significant point clear ahead of LPRC Oilers.

The victory has given the courageous side 63 points after 31 matches as compare to their bitter rivals LPRC Oilers who have 62 points after the same round of matches.

in Kakata, Margibi County defending champions Black Star came from a goal down to bury Mighty Blue Angels 2-1.

Goals from Bill Sheriff and James Soto Roberts secured the maximum points for the defending triple champions.

Elsewhere, the traditional derby between Mighty Barrolle and Invincible Eleven failed to take place due to flood on the playing pitch at the Doris Williams Stadium in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County.

Still with the premiership, LPRC Oilers slipped to the second spot for the first time this season with a disappointing 2-2 draw with Wantaga FC on Saturday at the ATS.

Poka Roberts and Leon Power were the goal scorers for Wantaga FC while Alex Whitemore and substitute Johnny Bledee got the goals for the floppy Oil boys.

In the first division ,Survivors FC hopes of clinching the championship received a serious blow with a 1-0 defeat to Alliance FC at the Ganta Stadium in Nimba County.
