The Liberia Football Association (LFA) premiership continued during the week in three venues around the country.

Dark horses Barack Young Controller (BYC) is astonishingly the team to watch at the moment as the youthful Liberian elite football club continued to pull surprises in the ongoing campaign with a 2-0 thrashing of Patrick Garwo’s Gedi at the Unification Town football pitch in Margibi County.

Jacob Goa scored his first goal of the season before team mate Morris netted in the winner to secure the vital three points.

At the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia, powerful Mighty Barrolle maintained clean sheet with a 2-1 victory over FC AK.

Julius Nah, alias Michael Essien canceled the Joe Armstrong Nagbe’s guided side lead to end the first half 1-1.

Back from recess, the red and white outfit mounted immense pressure and paid off well with a penalty that was well taken by superb performer Weaka Wissah to secured third sport on the 18 teams LFA premier log.

On Tuesday, LPRC Oilers also maintained great form with a 3-1 victory over NPA Anchors at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County to maintain second spot.

The league continues on Wednesday, April 23, 2009 with sentimental favorite LISCR FC taking on Jubilee FC at the ATS at 4: PM.
