Sekou Konneh’s Barrack Young Controller (BYC)
continued her superb performance in the ongoing Liberia Football
Association (LFA) 2009 National championship with a 2-1 edging of
sentimental favorite LISCR FC at the Nancy Doe stadium in Kakata,
Margibi County.
BYC’s danger man Andrew Swaray drew first blood
in the fist half of the encounter with LISCR struggling to find
level term as the first stanza ended in the LFA youthful premier
outfit’s favor.
Back from recess, LISCR’s versatile player,
Zayzay Kollie rotated the score line, but the kids never gave up in
their quest to maintain pole position of the LFA premiership table
with Captain Jacob Goe and supplier Momo Sonpon doing the damage to
the so-called experienced guys.

Garlo secured the maximum three points with a late 87th
minute goal to see the youthful LFA premier club maintained the lead
with 31 points from 12 matches.

In the second division, Grand Bassa County
based LFA 2nd division outfit Al Pro. demolished Georgian
FC 8-1 at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia, while
Survivors FC toke pole position of the first division table with a
well deserve 2-1 victory over Tony FC at the same venue.
Tony FC’s Captain Bawar Bekay opened the score
line in the 16th minute of the first half from the
penalty spot, but Survivors skipper in the form of Samuel Samba
leveled the score just one minute into the second half before Musa
Massaley scored the crucial goal in the 56th minute to
see the former George Oppong Manneh Weah club take the top of the
LFA 1st division.
Survivors has 12 points followed by Fatu FC
with 10 points.
