Liberia Football Association (LFA) 2009 knock out champions, Barrack
Young Controller (BYC) had a shaky start in Freetown, Sierra Leone
where the youthful LFA premier club is currently participating in a
week long international competition.
According to latest information from Freetown, the Liberian club
managed a 0-0 draw with host FC Johasen in what was described as poor
performance from the Liberians.
Reports further revealed that BYC may have performed poorly due to
long distance covered after traveling by road from Monrovia to
Freetown.
It is not yet clear when will the team play its next match, but there
are reports that the players are in high spirit for the second
encounter.
Teams participating in the competition include host FC Johasen, BYC of
Liberia, Cruzeiro of Brazil, FK Bodo/ Glimt of Norway, Ajax of
Holland, Ghana’s Liberty Professionals, Gambian Under -17 National
Team and Pepsi Academy.
The competition kicked off On December 1, 2009 and will end December
6, 2009.
