-INDONESIAN BASED PLAYERS GET SET

Top level football is expected to come to the fore at the ATS with a
triangular tournament being organized for the July 26, celebration.
The tournament which is expected to begin on Wednesday, July 26 will
involve three teams, local based Lone Star; Liberia's Indonesian
based All Stars as well as the SDU All Stars. The SDU All Stars
which will comprise local and foreign based players will be
sponsored by United States based promoter Emmanuel Geeza Williams.
Mr.Williams, who is expected in the country on Sunday, is expected
to launch an organization, the SDU that would involve a major aspect
of sports development in the country.
Through his initiative, Liberia has been given the rights to partake
in the World Street Football World Cup in Cape Town, South Africa.
The competition which takes place in September this year will
involve a lot of hidden talents.
Geeza who is also a journalist might have former Dutch international
Aaron Winter and three Nigerian players in the Dutch Third Division
accompanying him to Liberia. The quartet is expected to team up with
some of the local stars for the tournament.
A giant sized trophy and valuable awards for deserving players will
be vied for. According to information gathered by our on the beat
reporter, Local Lone Star will sort things out with the Indonesian
based players, and on July 28, SDU All Stars will engage the
Indonesian based players, with the final match coming on July 30,
between the Local Lone Star and the SDU All Stars.
Meanwhile, the Indonesian based players are said to be set and ready
for the tournament.
In a chat with LiberianSoccer.com , Joseph Amoah who was due in from
Ghana where he was due in with five other players late Friday
evening indicated that by July 26, a huge contingent of the stars
will be in Town. "We are coming to form part of the celebrations,
and are also keen to show the people the stuff we are made of.
And then they will be able to judge". He concluded.
