LFA

Star sport has gathered that an audit has begun on the financial
records of the Liberia Football Association.
According to the information, an auditing firm Voscon began its audit
of the financial records of the local football house on Monday.
A five man committee headed by newly elected Executive Committee
member Musa Baility was appointed during the last LFA congress to put
out a bid in the print media to audit the group’s account.
The decision to bid for a neutral auditing firm excluding the PKF to
audit the LFA followed more than an hour of heated debate on the
financial records of the local football.
The Musa Bility led committee is to present its report during the next
LFA congress scheduled for the 21st of November.
LFA Acting Secretary General Sam Bedford confirmed that an audit is
taking place and will last for two weeks.
There have been claims and counter claims at the local football house
about the management of funds being given to the group by FIFA.
The audit also comes months after former LFA Treasurer J.Nimely Toe
made away with about 57 thousand United States Dollars.
Star Radio has also gathered that LFA is currently faced with huge
financial difficulties and has been so far unable to raise the cash
prizes for the just ended national league
