As Sports Commission Come Alive Soon

Nigerian Team Due Wednesday, 25-Men On Board

With just few more days for spectacular basketball action at the open-air sports commission on Broad Street, there are reports that one of Nigeria's most glamorous basketball team, Union Bank, is due in the country on Wednesday with 25 men delegations.

Making the disclosed to The Analyst's sports desk over the weekend, LBF Secretary General, Fred Pratt, said all was set for the arrival of Union Bank of Nigeria for the crucial international friendly basketball encounters with some of the top premier clubs in the country.

Mr. Pratt said the team was coming in with a 25-men delegation and will be lodged at the Kailando Guest House on the Old Road.

According to him, the team would be in the country for at least one week and will play several friendly matches with top premiere clubs.

The LBF chief scribe further disclosed that the five premiere clubs, which are expected to participate in the weeklong competition, include the Invincible Eleven (I.E), Mighty Barrolle, Uhuru Kings, sensational LPRC-Oilers and the deadly NPA-Pythons.

He said that the five teams would each engage the visitors, with the Invincible Eleven welcoming Union Bank on Friday in the only match of the day.

Already, the reports say Union Bank has attached serious importance to the their friendly matches with Liberian basketball teams.

A Union Bank official was quoted as saying that they are coming to Liberia for a good fight.

The warding by the Nigerian team has drew the attention of many basketball lovers, who have anxiously waiting to see what the visitors are made of as they meet there Liberian.


At the same time there are reports that the Liberian teams have begun intensive preparations and have moved to champ in order to put up a good fight at ahead of the competition.

Meanwhile renovation work at the Sports Commission, which began a week ago, said to be closed to completion ahead of the international competition.
