Two players of Liberia Football Association (LFA)
premier club, LISCR FC left the country Tuesday, July 13, 2009 during
the eleven hours for the European State of Israel.
According to the president of LISCR FC, Mr.
Mustapha I Raji, players George Baysah and Patrick Doepleh, alias
junior boy were invited by Israeli top flight club, Hapoel Ratana for
several weeks of tryout.
The LISCR boss said if the players passed the
tryout and medical, they will put pen to paper for a mouth watering
deal.
“We are glade our players have left for Israel,
but we are praying they pass the tryout and medical to secure the
contract,” LISCR boss Raji noted in a rather positive manner.
It can be recalled almost two months ago, two
Israeli scouts visited Liberia as per the invitation of LFA premier
club, LISCR FC where the 18 LFA premier clubs participated in a week
long exercise aim at scouting players to seek professional contract in
Israel.
With speculations that the deal was a bogus one
due to rumors that the scouts were unknown, it is gradually becoming a
reality that indeed Raji and his Israeli scouts are out for business.
There are also reports that two other players of
LISCR FC are expected to leave the country for Israel in the not too
distant future where they will also be link with top flight clubs.
George Baysah is a Liberian International
defender with 17 caps to his credit after making his International
debut against Equatorial Guinea.
He has as well played against some top rated
African countries including Cameroon and Senegal.
He formed a formidable part of Liberia’s Lone
Star German Coach, Antoine Hey Lone Star squad during the joint 2010
Africa and world cup qualifiers.
Pundits believe with his mind set for top rated
football and the Almighty God being on his side, Baysah could secure
the contract in Israel and help the national team of Liberia in the
2012 African cup of nations’ qualifier.
His team mate, Doepleh is a cultural left back,
who since he returned from Turkey where he could not secure a
contract, has been used in left midfield by his club, LISCR FC.
He scored a brace on his LISCR debut against UMC
Roots on March 28, 2009 at the ATS in the LFA premiership.
He scored the total of six goals for LISCR FC
before leaving for Israel.
The two players (Baysah and Doepleh) were
integral members of Coach Hassey Dwarko’s LISCR FC where they were to
battle LFA premiership league leader, LPRC Oilers today.
“I thought Baysah and Doepleh were going to play
against Oilers before leaving.
“I will certainly miss them, but I thank God for
the opportunity for them to showcase their talent in Europe,” one
diehard LISCR fan noted.
Meanwhile, LISCR FC and LPRC Oilers will battle
each other in the first match of the LFA premiership at the Nancy Doe
Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County.
At the same time, Invincible Eleven (IE) thrashed
USA FC 2-1 at the Nancy Doe Stadium in Kakata, Margibi County, while
Devereux FC walloped Jubilee FC 3-0 at the ATS.
At the ATS today at 4: PM, Watanga FC is expected
to engage FCAK in another epic duel.
Before that exciting encounter, Young will take
on Tony FC at 2: PM.
